Clan lore overview (older, disorganized stuff follows)
-The Peacock Fern Clan was founded by Argosine and Pine with the goals of nurturing and spreading life and kindness in the world, and being an exemplary Nature Clan that survives and thrives through all challenges through cooperation. The namesake plant species grows larger than normal and imbued with a magical glow throughout the Clan’s territories to mark the spaces under their protection. Their magic is connected to the life force of matriarch Argosine.
-The Clan’s territory is split into four parts: a cave system in the Everbloom Gardens is the main base and nest site; an outpost in the Gladeveins provides a backup space, nesting area, and supply store; an outpost and training grounds within the Shrieking Wilds; and an alcove along the Behemoth. Each site is run by different sub-leaders and serve to ensure that Clan members and allies always are afforded safe passage and refuge throughout the Viridian Labyrinth, and messenger dragons maintain a prompt communication system between these areas and allied clans.
-This clan was founded prior to the great color wheel expansion. When dragons began hatching with peacock/fern coloration, the clan was eager to recruit them. Those members of the clan with a peacock primary and a fern secondary are seen as beautiful and full of good fortune. Although all in the clan have a strong sense of family that means all resources are shared fairly, outsiders might say that the peacock/fern dragons appear to be treated like royalty based on the amount of attention, reverence, and pampering they are often given by clanmates.

[WIP- I promise this won't be a huge wall of text forever!]Nestled in a cave system bordering the Everbloom Gardens, the Peacock Fern Clan tends to its exotic namesake plant, which glows a more magnificent blue for this clan than any peacock fern found elsewhere. Its founders, Argosine and Pine, welcome all visitors, as long as they are careful not to tread on the cherished plants under the clan's care. Outside the cave's entrance are the tree twins (a sprout taken from the eggshells of a newborn and planted to grow in congruence with the respective dragon) of dragons born in the clan. Inside, various corridors lead to individuals' nests, and the centermost pathway leads to a spacious common room, where clanmembers relax, visitors socialize, clan records are kept, food is stored, and clan meetings are held. More valuable hoarded items are kept elsewhere, and information on their whereabouts is kept between clanmembers only. On the far wall of the common room, there is a small waterfall trickling into a drinking pool glowing with restorative magic. Sitting areas are designated by piles of wildwood moss interlaced with peacock fern clippings. Peacock ferns grow throughout the halls and rooms of the cave, kept alive and well in the darker conditions using magic. Between the water's source and the drinking pool, in fact, it flows through the grand suite of the progenitors. The matriarch Argosine can often be seen perched at the fall's ledge, leisurely overseeing daily clan activities. She is also the one who infuses the restorative magic into the water. The pool extends on both sides along the walls, but these extensions have a thin layer of ice covering the top. Inside, an aquarium of topaz guppies can be viewed, friendly swimming up to the covered surface to meet anyone curious enough to look closely. Provisional signs on the walls above these dual aquariums read "Do NOT eat!" a message intended for visiotrs as well as the large coatl population of the clan. Waters further filter through small passages in the base of the walls to a bathing area, and to larger individual lairs.
