Few are the dragons who are captivated by the indecipherable power and relentless violence wielded by The Shade. It's against one's nature to welcome a force that only seeks to destroy them. But these few dragons are... peculiar – and they form the Acolytes of The Shade.

Either corrupted by The Shade or unusually hopeless and ready to embrace oblivion, the Acolytes hide themselves throughout every corner of Sornieth. Their true home is within the Tangled Wood, where the heads of the cult reside. They form a clan centered on worship and combat.

Unwelcome everywhere, the cult fights with teeth and claws to conquer territories, infect beastkin and dragons alike with The Shade's influence, and have the freedom to enact their sinister rituals. Their objective is clear: to help restore their master's power, and accept total and complete annihilation.
