Oh, there are a few rare genes. and, trust me, they are VERY expensive in treasure, and in gems as well. You can also purchase rare Gene Scrolls in the Gem Marketplace. ^^

Sorry didn't see your post about the Spines Gene, as it was not on my profile. ^^ Sadly no. Spines is an Uncommon Gene, but I still find it pretty catchy. ;)
