The earth was quiet. Things scuttled upon the land but sound had no meaning, no ties to the earth or the dragons thereupon. Though the land held many great beauties and terrible destructive power in plague, shadow, arcane, earth, water, fire, etc., it wasn't until the stormcatcher felt his loneliest that he sent the bolt of lightning to the earth and created the first thunder. It was the thunder, the first echo upon the earth that held the cacophonous beauty of music and sound. All dragons rejoiced for as one they had found their voice.
