She collapsed less then a day's walk from the lair, in a thunder of scales and a gasping bellow of pain. Amar was the one who found her, and ran as quickly as his little legs could carry him for help. He found Nightwing, and sleepy old Bluebonnet, and together, they carried the fallen guardian back to their lair. It never occurred to them that there was a reason this guardian collapsed. They didn't notice the bubbling in her breath, and the frailness of her crests. They never thought of quarantine.
