Runic Sanctuary Lore

The magically gifted are all marked with specific genes when they show signs of any forms of magic. The gifts are bestowed upon them by the Arcanist, to further his work and find their own Life Path in the intricate weave that makes up their world.

Unfortunately, the Arcanist is not currently welcomed at the moment because of his past, and therefore his magelets and their gifts are inherently frowned upon. There are few places in which the gifted can find peace and a place to live their lives such. This lair in the Arcanist's domain is one of the few places that the Runic can practice their gifts and carve out a living.

The Runic are marked by the Tertiary Crackle Gene. All manner of Flights can be marked in this way with the gift, given to them by the Arcanist. The magic changes the cells of the dragon's body, overflowing and unable to be contained in a powerful manner and manifesting as a splash of color across the dragon's body.

Not all of the Runic have gifts that manifests in the way of Runic Raiders or Mage Brawlers. Sometimes the gifts appear as the Tertiary Smoke Gene, which symbolizes to others those that can foresee the future or have passive psychic abilities.
