WISHLIST
My Flight Rising spreadsheets. The Swipp Swaps, Bestiary, and Needed Retired Items tabs are all things I don't own and am interested in collecting.
The spreadsheets also hold other valuable resources, such as the venues different NotN familiars appear in, what items you need for each Swipp swap, the prices of every Marketplace apparel item, and more! Feel free to copy the sheet and use it as you like!

Primarily:
-Metallurgist's Forgetools for Stonebend, my blacksmith.

-Crystal and Gembond genes for Scrolltrace.

If you're looking to get rid of genes, check my dragons' bios (back (newest) to front (oldest)). Those with scried previews are the ones I'm changing; the preview is the result I'm aiming for.
I will always accept swords and other weapons!

LORE

Frostforge Fortress is a self-contained, independent settlement that is armed to the teeth yet not unamicable to outsiders. Founded by the original clan's progenitors, Frostforge and Skywing, what started as a simple band of dragons living free by the Ashfall Waste's hearth has turned into a significant stronghold at Flamecaller's disposal.

The Fortress holds a wide variety of tenets, half of it wisdom developed by hard-won experience, and half of it knowledge bolstered by observation, logic, and philosophy. The Fortress encourages strife, controversy, questioning, and competition to strengthen both the body and mind. It all boils down to one belief: we are here to learn, and to learn is to be strong. Everyone wants to be the best, and the Fortress believes it has found the answer by forcing dragons to break their bad habits and change. The atmosphere does not welcome all; it is uncomfortable to be bluntly told you are stupid, or to have your friends laugh at your blunders, but it is about the growth, not your image along the way. To alleviate the stinging of the wounds, the Fortress does still hold festivities and celebrations, and one is taught how to laugh instead of cry. Soon, names are just names, scratches are just scratches, and you no longer mind sharing a meat pie with your childhood nemesis.

The Fortress is not well-known by any means, but offers a valuable service to its allies: protection, security, and examples to learn by. In honor of the Fortress's namesake, the Guardian dragon Frostforge, many of its warriors will gladly take up protective and combative roles when its allies need it, and should a clan fall apart, it will take in those refugees that plan on either passing through to a new home, or integrating into the Fortress. However, those who don't uphold the Fortress tenets and refuse to leave are unfortunately kicked out. Those who are active threats are not permitted to stay.

About the Fortress:
o - Everyone in Frostforge Fortress, be it hatchling or foreigner, who intends to stay, is taught the arts of swords and sorcery. To be unable to fight is to be a burden during times of stress, when other worries are less than inconvenient. It is additionally a means of keeping power in check, so whoever is in command at any moment knows he cannot muscle the other dragons into servitude. As a result, the Fortress is a fully-functioning militia.

o - "A friend until an enemy" is a saying that caught on quick among the members of the Fortress. It means to not assume someone is a threat, or guilty of being one, until proven otherwise.

o - Thanks to growing up with thick skins, the members of the Fortress don't give rumors much salt, and are more interested in dragons proving their character through their actions, not the words or actions of others.

o - The Fortress has its own legal system for serious problems. Disputes are expected to be settled between dragons as close to home as possible. If it can't be resolved, close acquaintances are asked for advice. This effect grows until a solution can be found. If the whole community cannot decide on anything, then it goes to the Fortress leaders, peacekeepers, and a number of dragons elected by the community to represent the community's opinion. These three groups, plus those that started the altercation, will then provide their stories and input. After digesting the information for a time no earlier than a day, the Fortress leaders and its primary peacekeeper will give a verdict to settle the issue. Such involved processes take much longer to settle than usual, but has resulted in better settlements and a higher trust that the choices made are justified.

o - Most of the Fortress members are warriors, and will earn their keep by fighting in the Coliseum, hunting for the Fortress, defending the Fortress from wild animals, Beastclan attacks, and rival clans, or by running combat errands for allied clans, such as protecting an ambassador on a trip. The Fortress allows plenty of room for a dragon to grow other skills too, which is actually what spurred its development from a bumbling clan to a keep worth counting on during hard times. From gardens and orchards, to crafting and smithing, to magic, mining, and even music, the Frotsforge Fortress has vowed to be indebted to no one and thrives without any ties.

o - The Fortress is just not named after one of its founders, but refers to its preferred method of smithing: tempering. Lots of it. Tempering has become an art among its members, with the perfectly-timed heating and cooling of metal being the foundation for the Fortress's best weapons and armor. Even tooling and jeweling have adopted the practice as a means of making keepsakes live much longer. It has made artisan metalworking one of the Fortress's most valuable aspects.

o - The Fortress dragons are hard to intimidate and tricky to bribe. To have a vice is to be stained in the eyes of its members, and they work to remove those stains from their presence. It is believe that to be worthy of Flamecaller's armies, and to be her strongest flames, they must not have anything considered "dirt", as dirt is used to put out fire. Or, as a simpler way of putting it, the entire Fortress is basically a paladin stronghold.

o - Estyzen, one of many spellsword arts, was borne in Frostforge Fortress. Almost all its teachers, including its founder, exclusively live there and will teach no one else but its members. Combining agility, strength, hardiness, and intelligence, Estyzen is a potent cocktail of speed and pain delivered to anyone who dares to disturb the Fortress too greatly.

o - Like many clans, the Fortress has members of other Flights and is actually quite intrigued by their clashing elements. Along with the Fire Flight's tendencies for metal, smithing, and a motivating temper, the characteristics of other Flights have also melted into the mix, including jeweling and respect for elders and history from the Earth Flight, the ingenuity, industrialization, and sometimes insane persistence of the Lightning Flight, and the thoughtful patience, justice, and desire to learn from both Light and Arcane Flights. They are all still dragons of the Flamecaller though, and aren't afraid to be proud of it.

o - The Fortress is not afraid of corporal punishment. Each dragon learns in his own way. Some dragons are motivated by nothing but a speck of guilt. Some need to be ostracized by everyone. Others need a good smack on the head to knock some sense into them. Regardless of the method, it is widely acknowledged that the force delivered should never exceed the wrongdoer's capability to heal, mentally and physically, naturally ruling out permanent, lethal, and cruel punishment, including when sick or frail. Usually a hard slap with the broadside of a sword or tail is enough to correct dragon behavior.

o - The Fortress has cultured a form of meditation for calming its more excitable warriors, known as "flame-reading". Its mystics use an evolved form of this, known as "fire-sight", to see events of the past, of other present locations, or potential futures. Flame-reading involves the the dragon sitting down at a fire and staring into it, trying to see images in its flames or hear stories in its crackling. Even for those who have afantasia, staring at a crackling fire for hours is enough to lull them to sleep. Dragons who can stay up watching a fire are believed to be either mystics who are obtaining legitimate information from the flame-reading, or high-endurance warriors, an invaluable asset to the Fortress.
