I walked the shaded path ahead of me through the bamboo forest, hiding warm sunny rays from my existence. It was as if the sky shouldn't be seen where I was. My heart pounded in my chest as I saw the bamboo clear away ahead of me, a blinding light obscuring my vision, but I didn't care. I ran into the welcome sunshine only to gasp at what I saw.
Dragons were flying around a mountainous area, with ravines and cliffs everywhere. They all surrounded a beautiful waterfall that gave off the most radiant rainbow I had ever seen. A small dragon with lavender scales and purple fan-like wings and ears flew above me, and she dropped something. It looked like a compass of sorts.
I picked it up with one hand. It was small, so as to accommodate to the small dragon's size. I glanced up at her, flying away. "Hey!" I called to her, waving my free hand. "Over here! You dropped your compass!"
She heard my voice, turned, and gasped. "A human!" she exclaimed.
It sounded more like a squeaky growl, but I could understand her.
"Wait! I-I-I don't mean to cause trouble! I-I just wanted to show you that you dropped your compass, since I thought you might want it!"
Her misty green eyes glazed over mine, searching for a hostile thought or flash, and she carefully flew over to me and wrapped her small claws around the compass slowly. Once I was sure she had a grip on it, I stepped away and let her watch me cautiously.
"T-thank you," she said awkwardly, and turned away a little bit. "I-I'm sorry, I should introduce myself. I'm Sylvia, a fae dragon. Welcome to the Lesser Lair of the Zephyr Steppes!"
I creased my eyebrow. "Lesser Lair? Zephyr Steppes? I know I've never heard of those things before, but they sound familiar..." I stopped pondering and shook my head vigorously. "A-anyway, my name is Lavender. I hope I'll be able to get along with the other dragons who live here."
Sylvia grabbed my hand with her free claw and pulled me in the direction of the waterfall in front of me. "This is my home," she said. "A lot of dragons from the Wind Flight live here. Here, we travel, fly, create, and socialize!"
A grin quickly plastered itself across my face. I looked around at all the dragons in harmony, playing with other humans.
"Are those humans living here too?" I asked.
"Well, sort of," Sylvia said. "They lead clans. Dragon clans, that is. You can talk to them and visit them if you'd like, but this is your clan."
I glanced at her. "Wait, I'm here to lead a clan?"
Sylvia nodded. "Humans who are sent here have the ability to understand dragons and befriend them. Here, we have many things to look forward to. I'm the first dragon to arrive here, as well as another dragon." Her lavender scales turned an odd shade of pink. "His name's Axel, and we both hatched about a year ago. In human terms, we'd have matured to be about teenagers. We age fast, but we live long, strong lives. Much longer than humans."
I tilted my head. "Who's Axel?"
"Over here!" I whipped my head to a part of the bamboo woods that I hadn't seen before now. There was a young dragon who looked just like Sylvia, a fae, I supposed, with bright green scales and black wings and ears.
He zoomed over to Sylvia, nearly running into her, until I pulled him back a little bit by the wing.
"Ow! Ow! L-let go!"
I didn't even realize it had happened and quickly let go, apologizing a million times unnecessarily. "I'm so sorry! So, are you Axel?"
He nodded. "Pleased to meet you... uh?"
"Lavender."
"Lavender."
Sylvia giggled, and Axel's inky scales ripped a slight shade of pink. I smirked, knowing something was going on between the two.
"So..." I muttered. "I'm the clan leader, eh?"
Sylvia and Axel turned to me and nodded eagerly. "You get to lead us, auction us, exalt us, whatever you choose!"
I stepped back. "A-auction! Exalt? I mean, I understand exalting is like, worshipping you and stuff, and--"
"Oh no, you send us off to work for the Windsinger!" Sylvia corrected me.
"The Windsinger?"
"Pretty much the god of the Wind Flight."
"Oh. Well, why would I auction you?"
"In case you need money and you don't think you can take good enough care of us! It's so others get a chance to see us and care for us, and if they don't like us, they'll auction us too. I realize it sounds bad, but it really isn't!" Sylvia exclaimed. "And by exalting us to work for the Windsinger, you tell us we've grown a lot and that you want us to have a great honor!"
I listened and took it all in. "Hmm..." I placed my hand on my chin and tapped my foot like I do when I think. "Let's begin with creating something new..."
In a whoosh of air, I was given a notebook and a pencil. I glanced at my hands, which I saw create it on their own. I grinned. Welcome to Flight Rising, me. Welcome to the Lesser Lair.

I say you know what too many times :P
You know what? Layel.
Which Imperial? Pick one and tell me their name
You know what? Can you draw me an imperial dragon? It's not my favorite, but I want to see if you can do it.
Thanks and derp. c: I meant to say LAIR don't know why I said layer... Anyway pick your favorite dragon and tell me which one!
Ria, it's called a dragon LAIR, not a layer. And also, you don't draw the dragons themselves, but you draw them as half-humans as well. Still, the designs you make are pretty cool... ^-^
Hello! Take a look at my dragon layer, pick your favorite dragon and i'll draw it.
Ay siiiissss
