Droom is just a dream, a dream of peace in a cruel world.
_ War has been the only constant in every one of these dragon's lives. Whether it was the war that plagued this clan or others, their old island far from the Arcane's Starfall Isles was ridden in violence and havoc. A Resistance that began the 2 generations before the current clan leader was even born, when the oldest dragon in the clan was a mere child, toppled an entire kingdom they believed to be cruel, a kingdom that at the very least sustained peace among of citizens of the island. After the kingdom collapsed, so did that peace. There was no order, just blood and chaos, with different factions beginning and collapsing for ages. Until ages later one faction began, the Nox Tribe. (Latin translation: Nox=Night) They started off strong and strict with decent morals, building a home in a wasteland, all until that too collapsed, but not in the way other factions had. Their camp was destroyed by a dragon who sought revenge on the tribe's leader for an old crime the leader had committed. Regardless of if he was just on his revenge, this dragon killed the Nox Tribe's leader, yet sustained the tribe. He quickly gained the trust and favor of the tribe after telling them his tale and showing nothing but the noblest of qualities. And whether this was a trick of not, he gained their blind trust in his leadership. He promised them one main thing, that he would reestablish peace on their once great island. He did this by "reclaiming land" or rather, terrorizing and pillaging local dragon's homes and enslaving them, giving the riches and land to his tribe and his tribe only, those captured dragons having their tongue's cut out, the leader of the Nox tribe claiming this to be just with his "join or die" initiative that allowed dragons to "join" a now xenophobic tribe. Corruption within the tribe was becoming rampant, yet it remained stronger than ever, leading by the fear of his enemies and the trust of his tribe.
_ This is where Droom Clan begins. Started by a young mirror dragon, Mya, and her mate, a tundra named Story. They were chased away from their homes by the Nox tribe after the tribe had destroyed and pillaged their old home, their entire family being murdered. They started off by finding other dragons like them, ruined by the war and finding solidarity in each other, until Mya was pregnant with their first child. They decided to create Droom Clan to counter the Nox Tribe's rein of terror. And so they built a clan from the ground up, holding up to the name Droom (translation: dream in latin) with their dream of an era of peace. Except this didn't work out as planned. They did create a clan, dragons coming from all over to join Droom, the hope bright with young and old dragons joining together, teaching each other and expanding. But when the time came, the Nox Tribe came like a snake in the night, capturing Mya. They wanting nothing except to ruin her, their leader, and that they did, torturing her to her limit, driving her to near madness and causing her to have a miscarriage from the stress (Or at least Mya thought, seeing that in the torture and chaos what in fact happened was she gave birth early, surprising Nox clan who decided to to keep the egg, thinking it could be used to their advantage in a way against the Droom Clan. Story and Mya's young co-leader, Eit, tried to make a deal with the leader of the Nox Tribe, but got that simple answer "Join or Die." Eit, with his calm, smooth tongue was able to convince the Nox Tribe to allow them time to decide with Mya back in their own care as a "sign of good faith if we do join." And so came the ultimate decision: join or die? Story was so wrecked by Mya's state that he gave the choice to Eit and the rest of their clan, and so Eit decided there was only two actual things they could do- fight or leave. Fighting meant going against a far larger tribe, one with brutes that would kill and enslave. And leaving was just that, going somewhere far from this now useless and burned land and sailing somewhere save. And so Eit promised the clan that they will be safe, stating and explaining with a level-head that they had to leave the island. Surprisingly, after seeing their leader in such a terrible state, nearly the entire clan agreed, the few who didn't begrudgingly accepting the clan's decision as a democracy, not that they could stay and fight alone. So just like that, they sailed away with the help of an allied clan,
"Scabra-Dog"
on their sky ship across the vast dark ocean, to a strange beautiful and healthy land in the Arcane flight's Starfall Isles, in return for allowing the Scabra-Dog clan to lay low in their new camp whenever they needed to. In the Starfall Isles, the clan, so battered with old terrorizing memories, began their lives trying peace, building themselves from nothing in the Star Wood Strand. Their past haunts them everyday, unable to forget all they've left on that island so far away, promising themselves that one day they would return. For now however, they live and breathe, learning how to live normal lives.
