Between the territories of Shadow and Light lie a series of inlets and deltas, a fractured swampland barely holding itself above sea level. This waterlogged land is hearty; magical energy is intensified by friction between the rival elements, and the river that divides the Tangled Wood feeds it life-rich sediment from the northern Nature lands.

It is here, shrouded in a shifting twilight, that the Illuminated Copse Outpost has set its foundations.

Given its position near the border, the Outpost's main settlement is a hub of merchants and travelers, trade carried out inside of paved burrows and regal buildings carved in the style of the Light flight. On spreading out from this financial heart, the roads melt away into mud and bramble, and the typical hostility of the Wood returns. This land is home to the permanent residents of the Outpost, cultivating livelihoods away from the hustle and bustle.

The area's main exports are its rare medicinal plants, wines, and water, which is prized for its use in alchemy and potioncraft.
