Amidst the crackling laughter and myriad chatter of dragons in the winding caravan, there persist in the mind a bibliosmia of hexanal and toluene, drawing attention to the cluster of shuddering covered wagons; like small houses and stone structures on sled legs and wheels, they cluster in rough formation. A stitched pearlcatcher with amiable smile and low rumble encourages hatchlings to nestle amidst a makeshift den of pillows as she begins to weave a yarn - both literal and the literary. Behind her, curtains open on a raised wagon bed, lit by hanging torches filled with alchemical light. In the glow, a bespectacled dragon leans over parchments and delicately touches the nib of a feather pen to the rising illumination of the Tidelord in The First Age. Across the way from him, a sullen skydancer steps out from his own mismatched abode, trailing the sound of whispering spirits. He seems to be starved for knowledge, and stops only briefly to mutter a word to an Imperial coiled amidst her fellows. All around, dragons from nearby dens join the travelers to borrow, lend, or trade their own stories and texts. They tell their tales to be retold elsewhere, and bid the latest news from abroad.
