Polubing's Clan

A previous magic based attack ... has left our dragons’ world battered, cratered, covered in sporadic wastelands, and full of new hazards. The attack has interrupted the flow of magic, creating barren wastelands and swaths of magically charged areas. The magically charged areas continually lash out, spawning masterless golems of titanic stature and aggression. The oceans surrounding the landmasses seeth with massive pseudopods made of water, spasmodically whipping the air above the seas. The magically overcharged areas feature rampant plant growth, above-ground formations of mineral deposits, mutated plant, animal, dragon, and beastclan life. The Sea of a Thousand currents has all but dried up. Waves of attacks originating from the wastelands whittle away what remaining populations there are. The wastelands are roamed by solitary and groups of magically corrupted beings.

Dragons are brought down for the first time since the Third Age by the lack of magic, crippling some species and leaving some hard pressed to stop their decline even without being attacked. Dragons born after the Attack have greyscale range eyes, unless they were born in areas of magic saturation, a dangerous feat that some of the more ambitious clans undertake to prove their mettle. Eye types from these clutches tend towards more unusual and rare types, with primal being maybe a quarter chance.
