And I've lived my life the best, every second to defy,
Ancient Lair

Pillar of the World

Please note - I do suffer with some memory problems, so if you've been waiting a while for a reply from me please message me again. Apologies for any worry or inconvenience it may cause.

Lair order for easy reference
The Monastery
Ordained members of the Order of the Children of the Earthshaker. Everyone here has taken full vows, including;
To love everyone as fellow children of the Earthshaker.
To judge none, but accept all for who they are.
To do no violence to any living creature.
To live simply, and share all they have with any who are in need.
To stand watch over the Pillar alongside the Great Father.
To stand against the shade, and protect life in all it's forms.

The Guards
Members of the Order Militant of Yeomen Templar; distinct and separate from the Children, the Templars have their own vows and orders.
There are two classes within the Templars. 'Yeoman' are those who have taken full vows which bind them to the Order, while 'Serjeant' are those who serve within the Order but have not taken full vows.
The Templars are further divided into two branches, the Guards and the Scouts. The Guards provide static defence and peacekeeping within the Monastery itself, whereas the Scouts are a more mobile force that protect the wider Monastic lands and accompany those following the Pilgrim's Trail.

The Catacombs
Deep beneath the Monastery lie the Catacombs, for ages untold the burial place of the honoured dead. Here reside the Ancestors, and those Ordained Brethren tasked to care for them.
The caves beneath Dragonhome are not all friendly, however, and things lurk in the deep places that should not see the light of day. The Catacombs are also home to those who defend the Monastery from any incursion from the deeps. The Sentinels are not part of either Monastic Order, they've been at their posts for longer than the Monastery has been sited above them.

The School
The Monastery School is open to all who wish to enrol. While it doesn't have the prestige of some of the more selective educational institutes they do provide a good education for all those that come to study. The Teachers are not Ordained members of the Order, and so are free to focus solely on the education of those in their charge.
Additionally there are the Ordained members of the Order who tend to the Monastic Libraries. These are extensive, although they mostly contain historical records and accounts.
Finally are some scholars who are essentially resident at the Monastery in order to study at the Library.

The Lay Community
Those living at the Monastery who are not members of one of the Orders. Includes various craft- and trades- dragons, as well as a small retirement community.

Non-Lore Breeding Pairs
Breeding projects & Fodder pairs.

Nest Rentals & exalt fodder awaiting training.

Exactly what it says on the tin.

Hibernal Den
The Embassy
Ambassadors from the other Elemental Realms, their entourages, and various hangers-on.

Pretty Boys
Not, technically, all boys. But dragons that I keep just because I like the look of them.

Rainbow Bridge
Memorial dragons for pets that have crossed the Bridge.

About Papa Bear
If you recognise the name, you'll know the drill by now ;) If not - pleased to meet you!
I'm a 35 year old guy (that people like to joke is a very well-preserved 50) and I live in the UK with my male partner of over a decade. I'm a self-confessed work-a-holic, but I got dealt a bit of a bum hand health wise so it's not unknown for me to be at home a fair bit. I make NO apologies for being a sort-of-ageing hippie.

If you ever need a shoulder to lean on, or a listening ear, my inbox is always open :)

Always happy to fulfil requests for people (within the realms of in-lair possibility anyway), including hosting nests free of charge.

"Oh Master grant that I may never seek,
So much to be consoled as to console,
To be understood, as to understand,
To be loved as to love with all my soul."
