The Palace of Wind Chimes
You walk through the Reedcleft Ascent, pushing the bamboo shoots out of your way. You refuse to admit it, but you're lost. Since when was the area so misty? As you take a few more steps, you hear something in the distance.
Clink.. Clink.. Clink..
It was the sound of wind chimes.
The noise became louder, and louder as you went forward.
Clink! Clink! Clink!
Suddenly, you fall over.
You can't move.
You can't speak.
Your vision is clouded.
All you can hear is the ringing sound of the chimes...
...
You wake up. Brilliantly patterned jade walls surround you. Large windows reveal a beautiful landscape. Everything about the room you're in is elegant.
"Finally awake?"
A beautiful skydancer with golden-hued eyes greets you.
"No need to be alarmed. You're safe here."
"Where am I?" You ask.
"Hm? Where are you? You're in our palace, of course."
The skydancer steps back.
"The Palace of Wind Chimes."
Those who do not live in the palace would believe that the Palace is an imaginary place, somewhere that only exists within stories. The palace exists in a secluded, foggy area in the Reedcleft Ascent, known to very little. The chimes are enchanted, and spirit away dragons whom the queen, Oka, believe will be an important addition to the clan. This clan also is one of Windsinger's patrons, which believes being exalted is an honor and will train willing dragons in the clan to be sent to the Windsinger.
In the Palace, violence is a taboo. Those who hurt or kill others who are part of the clan will be exiled. Violence is allowed on non-clan members, however, it should only be used in the most extreme of situations. Some say the palace is a rehabilitation area for those who have committed crimes. However, although peaceful, the vicious entities that live within the palace are there for a reason; to dispose of those who oppose the palace, as their loyalty remains with the queen.
