Clan Info
You've been walking for many an hour. The sky has darkened in anticipation of the coming night, and a bird's caw echoes through the surrounding forest. You pass a particularly large tree and it seems to be almost glowing. A mental note is made in your head of where you are in case you get lost.
A growl sharpens your senses and a shiver crawls down your spine; Your hands clench the straps of your backpack protectively. The crunching of leaves alerts you to the presence of a dragon. They beckon you forward and, reluctantly, you follow. "I'm Akari," they say, "of the Gathering of Sunsets clan."
Soon Akari leads you to a large clearing, many small paths branching off of it. Another glowing tree like the one you saw earlier dominates the middle of the central clearing, green vines twisting and snaking up and around the base and body of the plant
"This is the life-giving tree our ancestors built this clan around," Akari explains. "The dragons of our clan make their homes nearby in the smaller clearings. Some stay years, others days." Akari looks directly at you. "But everybody has a place, and even those who leave are welcome back anytime. Now," Akari continues, "I know you must be overwhelmed." You nod and Akari laughs quietly. "Take a rest, would you? I'll send someone to bring you some food in the morning. I can't have you leaving here malnourished, can I?"
"I suppose not," you whisper, still in awe of the knowledge you have just gained. You decide that maybe you'll like it here, at least for a little while. The need for travel called to you from a young age, and you often find it hard to stay in one place for too long. However, this place does have a certain allure to it. It's as if the winds are whipping around you, wrapping their snaky tendrils tightly to your hands, arms, legs, everything.
After looking around for a moment you decide to explore a path that goes to the left.
