The Southern Icefield is a harsh place. Its brutal weather and lack of resources mean even the most resilient dragon cannot survive alone. The inhabitants know, and newcomers soon learn, that the survival of any individual depends on the strength of their group. Unity and cooperation are key to carving out a life in the arctic desert.
The Doomed Clan, at first and even second glance, seems to have an un-ironic name. Inexperienced leaders. A resource-thin territory. Dysfunctional members who would really rather live anywhere else. Yet the clan clings to survival, baffling its neighbors and even its savvier members.
Why? Because everyone there follows the first rule of the Southern Icefield: Stick together. The dragons of the Doomed Clan work feverishly for the good of the group. Whether out of love, pride, overconfidence, calculation, or the desperate desire to survive – it doesn’t matter. The snow melts around the hearth regardless, and the clan scrapes through another winter.
And in their fight for survival, they might, even without knowing it, be building something great. Who knows?
