Valligator's Clan

Clan Lore

Our Clan is dedicated to guarding and preserving the Cave of the Valligator. The Valligator is a mysterious creature frozen in the glacial ice; it is dragon-like but unlike any known dragon. Visitors are welcome, be they scholars or merely curious laydragons. Be forwarned, for many choose to join our Clan and dedicate themselves to our cause. The song of the Valligator is bewitching, particularly to those of the Guardian and Tundra breeds.

Clan Rules
(these are here mostly for my own use, however feel free to read if you're interested)

1.) Naming Tradition
Clanborn & Unnamed Emissaries/Recruits/Wards- named in tradition of parent of same gender (ex.- kinds of trees, start with 's', etc.)[some leeway w/ E/R/W]

Chosen- same as above plus add suffix -ex for males, -alta for females

Foundlings- 'Ice' somehow incorporated in name

2.) All dragons will have a bio that includes Origin/Role/Lore/Personality/Join Date [for E/R/W] *further info below* [if a dragon that joins the clan already has lore I will work to incorporate it, possibly with changes to make it better fit Clan Lore]

3.) Dragons Leaving Clan
-I do not sell dragons, that have produced offspring in my lair or were hatched in my lair, in the AH.
-May gift/donate/raffle any dragons, (CR sale/trade possible)
-May (at request only) stud unpaired dragons *see below for policy*

4.) Relationships
-Dragons are monogamous (unless Lore states otherwise), once paired they will not breed with another (might re-pair if one partner exalts or leaves lair w/o the other [will be incorporated in lore])


5.) Valligator Clan are Naturalists
-No use of Color/Breed Change scrolls
-Gene scrolls are limited use (admittedly I keep loosening these limits, LOL)
-dragons hatched in my lair may add or swap
out a gene IF a parent has the gene
-triple basics (w/ 2 TB parents) hatched in lair may add any tert gene
- Any First Gen can add any number of genes
- gened dragons that come into my lair may be re-gened, must be incorporated into lore
-No full skins, yes to accents {incorporate in lore)
-No clothing, yes to head-wear, jewelry/adornments, armor, and other select items

Origins

Founders- the male and female progens of the clan
Exalt/Retire Req-@least 1year/@least 1 offspring of each gender/L25

Heir- the first hatched offspring of the Founders or Heir currently in power (May not breed until takes over as Clan Leader upon Exalt/Retirement of current Clan Leader, @ that time chooses a mate and hatches their own heir)
Exalt Req-@least 1year/@least 1 offspring of each gender/L25

Founder's Line Clanborn- any non-Heir offspring of either Founder who will produce offspring
Exalt Req- NA/@least 1 offspring/L5

Founder's Line Chosen- any non-Heir offspring of either Founder who is dedicated to the Icewarden
Exalt Req- NA/no offspring allowed/L10

Clanborn- any offspring of a clan dragon
Exalt Req- NA/NA/NA

Clanborn Chosen- any offspring of a clan dragon that is dedicated to the Icewarden
Exalt Req- NA/no offspring allowed/L4

Foundlings [Iceborn, Flameborn, etc per element of egg]- any dragon hatched by clan from an Unhatched Egg
Exalt Req- NA/@least 1 offspring/NA

Emissary- any dragon that joined the clan from another clan (i.e. gifted or won and received via Crossroads)
Exalt Req- w/@least 1 offspring/L4

Recruit/Ward- any dragon/hatchling that joined the clan for compensation (i.e. purchased via AH or CR trade)
Exalt Req- NA/@least 1 offspring/NA

Roles

Clan Leader- a M or F dragon of Founder's Line - general leader type duties

Lair Warden (Spec. inc. Scout, Ranger, Capt. or other rank)- any (esp. Chosen)- protection of lair/train in Coli

Battle Mage- any (esp. Chosen)- ditto

Shaman- any - spiritual matters/Icewarden stuff/rituals/healer

Peacemaker- any (often Skydancer)- advises Leaders/mediates disputes

Forager- any - procuring food and materials

Hatchmom/Hatchdad- any- watches over nests and hatchlings/teaches and guides hatchlings

Adepts & Artificers (w/Specializations)- any- makes things or provides entertainment

Lore Master/Acolytes- any- recording lore and information/studying and teaching

(_____) Champion- dragon hatched from unhatched egg during a festival- dedicated to deity of that that festival, trains to lev25 and following year goes into the service of the deity (i.e. exalted / donated to other clans for Dom Push pre-festival), may mate

Studding Policy

-upon request only, and only with unpaired dragons
-previous to breeding terms are set
*other user must decide to take either First Choice of hatchlings OR all remaining hatchlings after I take First Choice*
-via Crossroads 2 way trade I send treasure in an agreed upon amount (@ which other user values their dragon) and they send dragon
-I breed dragon ASAP
-after hatch via CR 2 way trade I return dragon and hatchling(s) and other user returns collateral treasure
***if only one egg is produced other user will receive the hatchling and will send me an additional 10,000 treasure OR if they do not like the hatchling, I will keep it and process can repeat after dragons cool down if other user desires***
