SCALEBARK TREE


The Sapient Scalebark Tree was first stumbled upon by Oehnden, when he was a young dragon escaping the stormy lands to the south. The tree is over ten thousand years old, and has roots reaching over fifty kilometres into the ground. Before the dragons of Lunaciel found and colonised the tree it was home to a group of mages who were plotting to use the tree's sentience to achieve their own ends, which ended in it creating an earthquake - the likes of which had not been seen in millennia - to eject the conniving clan.

Now, Oehnden has recruited other dragons to help him restore the tree and the land surrounding it by finding and conserving the local flora and fauna, and gathering resources in a way that does not affect the ecosystem. Each dragon plays their own role in the clan to maintain their home and the wider environment.
