You don't like the way the whispering shadows pull you further into the dilapidated ruins of the Thorndark Altar. Cobwebs cling to every surface, and dust lines the empty sconces. The only light guiding you down here is your own meek, flickering flame of a torch. You reach a downward slope, and you're pretty sure the shadows are starting to... giggle. Still, you brave the dark tunnel.

It's a long while until the tunnel opens into a dimly-lit cavern. The walls here are lined with gilded carvings of the Shadowbinder, and other multi-eyed dragons. Between them hang golden placards, and magelights dance overhead. In front of an impossibly large gate stand two guards, one of which tilts their head at you.
