Crawling through the dense underbrush of the Tangled Wood, you find yourself coming across a strange barrier, the space around you glitching and hissing like static. Cautiously stepping through, you're met with the frightening eyes of a scarred Fae, his eyes glowing bright enough that it was hard to see his pupils. The space around him seemed warped, numbers visible dancing in the air around his wings and hands. He doesn't say anything, only gesturing for you to continue, flying slowly after you. You go further into the odd glitched space, feeling eyes watching you. As you near a large clearing, three dragons observe you closely as you near the lair, two Fae perched proudly on the old, gnarled horns of a large Imperial that had thorns and brambles covering it's body. Behind the three powerful dragons, there was another Imperial, his piercing cyan eyes glaring from under his cloak, bloodied bandages wrapped about each leg, wings covered in tattered feathers. The more you look around, the more you see various other dragons, circling around you to see this newcomer to their lair. The trio of elders regard you wearily, before the large purple Imperial huffs, and with a low voice, that echoed and resounded around the cavern, he addresses you,
"Welcome to the Kromatic Den, young one."

LORE - THE STORYTELLERS

Scrolls and books litter the ground, and along each tree, words are carved into the bark, detailing different names, ideas and opinions. The dragons here spend their time reading the many books, or scribbling down notes and stories on blank scrolls. Tomes of the different flights are stacked by the Elder's beds, and a small library has been carved from the trees.

The Kromatic Den dragons are story tellers. They love a good story, and they love to tell of their own travels. The novelists of The Tangled Wood, it is common to see any dragon from this clan with their snout buried in a book, or reading out stories and fairytales to the hatchlings. The dragons here value intelligence and a good book over all else and are always delighted to tell their stories to newcomers.

THE LAIR
Built in the clearing of a mushroom-lit forest, the trees are built with nests in the stumps, and with branches in the canopies for beds. Along the clearing is a rock set out for basking in, and there is always a steady supply of food for each dragon. With bedding set out in and around the trees, many dragons often have bedding made from moss and fur, with the elders having beds at the front of the lair.

THE COUNCIL

The Kromatic Den is run by a council of 14 dragons, led by the three elders and two powerful guards. Each member of the council has their own role to play in the Kromatic Den, but they all answer to the elders, acting as a go-between for the rest of the dragons in the lair. Any major decisions in the clan are run by The Council before anything is decided on.

CLAN ELDERS

SNAPDRAGON
One of the first dragons in the Clan, Snapdragon is a kindhearted Fae, that has spent her time learning how to heal, and how to take care of her members so they all stay in good health. In the past, she has been through her own losses, however Snapdragon is always willing to give people a chance, and will never turn away from a dragon in need.

ECLIPSE
First entering the clan on the run from the Beastclans, Eclipse has cemented his place in the clan as an Elder, and often spends his time with Lavender Jewel, telling terrible jokes and helping to keep the members of the clan happy and cheerful. Always a cheerful friend, Eclipse will happily tell you jokes, or swap puns with you sometime.

LAVENDER JEWEL
Don't let his size fool you, Jewel is a big sweetheart. He looks scary and intimidating, and he has a temper that could make an Emperor flinch, but he is always willing to stand aside and keep people safe. A softie at heart, Jewel loves to play with the hatchlings, and often is the one who will sit down and tell stories of the older dragons, and how things are now compared to then.

LAIR GUARDS

The Clan has two guards that keep the peace, often seen in close proximity of the clan elders. It is wise not to get on their bad side, as their powers are great.

SHROUD
Born from two of the fabled Naomi dragons, Shroud has a very powerful gift of being able to shape and shift the code around him to create hiw own shapes and barriers. Because of his mixed lineage, his powers are doubled, even as far down the line as he is. He uses these powers to create a barrier around the entire lair to protect it from dangers.

MISTAKE
A huge Imperial, boasting a large and intimidating stature that is only dwarfed by LavenderJewel, Mistake is a strong defender, stoic and ruthless, he is a dangerous dragon to make your foe, and his powers over shadows around him belies his Lightning origins.

Hey, I'm Glass, I do art, and I'm an absolute mess 90% of the time. Commissioning me keeps me and my animals fed, so I'd love you forever for stopping me from starving, literally and figuratively.

I'm 24 years old and the proud dad of 3 cats and 2 dogs. Keep screaming crotch mandrakes away from me (I really don't like children) and let me cry over games and anime.
