The Arcanist's Northernmost Observatory

Far to the North, just past The Viridian Labyrinth and Dragonhome, a small chain of frozen isles sits, unbothered by the ocean and cloudless despite its snow. Upon its largest island, an Observatory sat, protruding from the snowcapped trees with an odd beauty. This Observatory belonged to the dragons who search the stars in the name of the Arcanist.

Outside the walls of the Arcanist's Northernmost Observatory, Guardian Dragons from the Southern Icefield caller Glacier Guardians protect the Observatory and most importantly its home of islands, dedicating their lives to shielding it from danger. These Guardians did not care much for the Observatory itself, so long as it causes no harm to the isles, but made sure to guard it as well for what seemed to be the sake of the little Faes that took a shining to the large telescope.

Aurora Borealis Fae, a rarely seen breed of dragon that only appear in the Southern and Northern most parts of Sorenith, most often if not always only at night. They seem to come from nowhere, in little groups and large swarms, resting in the snow covered trees like beautiful ornaments and dancing around the Observatory's telescope in play. Often times they are hard to approach, flying away when a Glacier Guardian or an Observatory resident comes too near. The Pearlcatchers of the Observatory prefer not to bother them, so long as the Aurora Borealis Fae stay out of view, and out of the telescopes mechanics. But the Guardians of the isles seem to remain entranced by them.

Inside the halls of the Arcanist's Observatory, Starkeepers tend endlessly and tirelessly to Enchanted Orreries, their orbs of stars, moons and planets floating untethered to their centers and bases. Each Starkeeper Pearlcatcher watches over their own model, each unique to their own Orrery, and every Orrery as unique as every cluster of stars. With their enchanted models, the Pearlcatchers work endlessly to use the magic of the night sky to make predictions, their place in the north giving them new insight they couldn't get before in the Starfall Isles. At night, they observed the stars not just through the Enchanted Orreries, but also through the Observatory's telescope, and during the day, they watched their Orreries and worked out the predictions from the stars. Their work was without end, but they cherished it with every speck of their beings.

Deeper into the Observatory a Library was built, every book and paper worn with use but well taken care of. Inside the pages of the library were texts to help the Starkeepers decipher their readings, and records of what they foretold. The Librarian, however, was much more of a mystery, keeping to them self and only helping a lost Starkeeper to a book from the quiet shadows. The Pearlcatchers still liked the Librarian, they were as helpful and mysterious as the stars themselves, and they liked that.

Now, on some nights, when the stars are obscured by clouds and the only light is the Moon shining through silvery clouds, faint figures can be shown gliding through the air and the moonlight. The Starkeepers believe them to be Nocturne Dragons, but call them Moon Nocturnes for their activity with the moonbeams. Though the Starkeepers prioritize the stars, they still look to the moon for guidance. If they could learn more about the strange Nocturnes of the Moon, perhaps they can learn more of the world.

Perhaps, one day, the Arcanist's Northernmost Observatory will see something important for the whole of Sorenith, all because they chose a perspective no others could take on.

I just have one quick question before I write the lore, so do the starkeepers create and watch over their own stars or just watch designated stars/planets?
