The Chimaera Research Facility

As you travel through the Starfall Isles, you notice a stray spine located a good distance from the others in the Crystalspine Reaches. As you get closer, it becomes apparent that it houses a dragon lair: all around you can see traces of recent activity, from footprints to everyday objects left in front of the entrance. Your suspicion is ultimately confirmed when you get to a ledge near the top of the spire, arranged to serve as both a terrace and observatory, with various instruments and apparatus arrayed around the edges. What puzzles you is the fact that, despite it clearly being an inhabited place, you have not yet met a soul: in fact, you cannot even hear a sound anywhere in the edifice, leading you to believe that everybody went out. How foolish, to leave the lair empty and unguarded, and not even put up a magic barrier preventing entrance… As you turn to leave, a cabinet in the back of the cave caughts your eye. It looks like an index you could see in a library, and one of it’s drawers is open. A file sticks out of it, evidently stashed in hurriedly and preventing it from closing. You lower your head and read the title:

‘What could that be?’, you wonder. You take one more look around to make sure that you really are alone, then you pull the drawer out and start looking through the files. It seems like they contain information on dragons inhabiting this place… You open one of them up and start reading. Maybe this way you can find some answers...

On the off chance that you're still here and will see this...I think your dragon Yoshinobu is a very handsome boy. He wears his Samurai armor well (no mean feat!)
