Lore:
Far beyond the Southern Icefield, to the very edge of the frigid floes, there lies a small clan of hermit dragons. Much like the rest of the ice domain, air of this place carries the scent of the eternal winter. However, there is something more. Upon closer inspection, a hint of maren pervades this area. And the closer you get, the more it reeks.

The Banebeast Clan was founded decades ago following the alliance of their leader, Lysanthir, and a maren colony. Having developed a fondness for a stray maren, Lysanthir made peace with the colony after months of struggle between her former clan and the maren's colony. The Banebeast clan is now a small but growing group which isolates itself on the beaches of the southern icefield. Dragons raised here are taught to remain peaceful to neighboring beastclans.

Due to the taboo nature of a dragon and beastclan alliance, the Banebeast clan hides itself away. They do not interact with other clans much, and outsiders are not warmly welcomed. You may enter, but prepare to be highly supervised - only those who have bonded with a familiar are permitted to stay.
