NOTE: I have two siblings who play FR (Linen and CookiePopTarts) so when I come home I share IP address with them. My roomie also plays- TheatreRat. I sometimes help them feed their dragons when they come back after a long hiatus, or send them random gifts.

Strolling through the tundra, you come across a fairly large lair. You decide to take a look around- maybe you can rest here for a while. Suddenly, a maize fae jumps onto a rock in front of you!
"Hello stranger! I'm Husked, pleased to meet you! Tell me, what brings you to our lair today?"

You start to answer, but your own stomach interrupts you, grumbling loudly.
"Oh!" she says, "You must be starving! It's pretty hard to find good food out on the tundra. We have plenty to eat, for all types of dragons. You see, we're very diverse here, with at least one of each dragon species. Though we do have a large percentage of insect-eaters, like me."
She leads you towards one of the many caves in the clearing. Inside, you see a long, deep tunnel with dragons carrying food in or out.
"We keep our food stored down below the permafrost- helps keep it fresh. Things that spoil more easily are preserved or salted, of course."
She continues explaining as you pick out your favorite meal.
"... And our lair itself is actually a very complex system of shallower tunnels and chambers running through the entire hill behind us. It's heated by a large fire in the center that is always burning. Each chamber houses a pair of dragons, and the uncoupled sleep in the main Fire Chamber. When a pair chooses each other their first act is to construct their own chamber, which is normally labeled with their names above it. My partner is that handsome sheriff over there, the guardian with the denim wings. He's the law enforcer around here, while I'm the Head of Clan. We have several job groups of dragons here. Some, like my darling Hearth and I, are part of our small government. Others tend the fire, guard the nests and cave entrances, teach the young, or preform maintenance. All dragons participate in gathering food and supplies, though some have rather... uncommon methods."
She says this last part uneasily, and glances at one of the tunnels she hasn't shown you. You wonder about it, but dismiss your thoughts immediately. No dragon as kind and welcoming as her could possibly condone something like that... No, the brutal air pirates you've heard of must belong to some other clan.
Husked escorts you back through the winding tunnels to the entrance, and you bid her farewell. You walk away much happier and don't notice the airship sailing away from the other side of the lair-hill you just left...
