A pair of bright red eyes stares at you from the shoulders of a massive male guardian. The eyes glitter with intelligence, and you're frozen in place until they decide to move away. They belong to a small fae, lithe body a deep black and wings that match her eyes. "I am Makowski, Matriarch of this clan," she announces in a rough voice as all the other dragons fix their eyes on you. From what you can observe, it seems only the females wield power in this clan, as almost all of the males do not have the same frightening intelligence present in their faces. "State your business, and you may be allowed to live, if I feel like it," she continues as you realize any escape routes have been cut off. "If I feel like killing you, you will have a chance to earn your life by fighting. After all, strength and cunning are the most important characteristics in the world."
