_____ On the border of the sprawling channels of the Gladevein delta sits a massive Oak. It’s aged boughs reaching across with splendor and grandeur. Adorning its weathered bark and heavy branches hang dozens of shimmering, twinkling chimes. Fluting songs and chiming notes flow ever-singing from this tree.

_____ Surrounding this giant monolith in the realm of viridian green is a sprawling settlement. Small pockets of individual lairs dug into burrows and brush formed into homely hovels. Streams of colorful fabric and lanterns adorn the living foundations of this pocket of activity. This spot of liveliness is a refuge, a home. A place to rest weary wings and sore claws.

_____ A guardian approaches in a weathered banner and a glint in her eyes. She speaks none but turns her head to the roaring bonfire and the collection of other dragons, big and small, surrounding it. An Invitation to a place of respite. She closes her eyes, almost as if to say...

_____ Welcome to Clan Hanging-Chimes.

_____Clan Hanging-Chimes is a clan settled on the edge of the Gladeveins with the Shrieking Wilds in the distance. Full of misfits, exiles, and simple wanderers, everyone has a story of how they joined. Whether or not they are willing to tell it by the communal campfire. The faces amongst this clan change season to season. Some stopping amongst their travels, and others to find belonging.

_____In the heart of the clan’s territory reigns their namesake. A massive oak thrumming with vigor and wisdom. Adorning its sprawling branches are colorful ribbons, lanterns, flutes, and pipes dangling from its boughs. A few lair nests are hidden in the leaves and tiny burrows buried amongst its strong roots. Dotted around are the individual lairs of the inhabitants that exist here.

_____It is customary that each new dragon, or hatchling who has come of age, who joins the clan creates a personal adornment to hang on the many trees in the territory. Hatchlings born into the clan are expected to befriend a familiar to prove they are worthy of their maturity. Wander around long enough, and you may find some dragon meditating in the sounds of the chimes clinking together in the breeze.

_____Ages ago, a young guardian began her search. She traveled across Sornieth meeting other dragons and folk. Along her travels, a few other wanderers joined her journey. A mirror, sickly and weak, an imperial searching for ancient lore, a grounded skydancer, and a Pearcatcher holding dreams closer than her pearl.

_____There were others that joined this unlikely group. Other dragons that were not on a noble search as she; rather, the remnants of those exiled and clans disbanded. Some wandering to where the wind took them. Some left, more joined. An ever evolving group that welcomed the clanless and exiled. Claws and beating wings crossed the northeastern boundary of the Tangled Wood and continued along the coast, going further until they reached the edge of the gladeveins. The guardian, deep down, knew her charge was close.

_____Days passed as they wandered, swimming through the rivers and creeks, foraging in the verdant flora, until, there it was, a sound floating on the wind. Ringing and rustling. A massive oak with sprawling leaves. Upon its grand boughs hanging were old rusted chimes, though still were ringing through a forgotten era. The moment the guardian laid eyes on this magnificent tree, and the ruined lairs around, she knew he had found her charge and her new home.

Lore Revamp House Cleaning
This clan hasn’t been touched in quite a long time and in need of special TLC. Some dragons have moved on while others are morphed into new versions of themselves. It’s time for an upgrade!
