Welcome to the Great Furnace Embassy! Residing just northeast of the Magma Sanctum in a mountain of basalt called Basalt Heights, it acts as the primary center of cross-flight politics and culture for the Ashfall Mountains. However, for several centuries, the Embassy was one of the Fire Flight's most powerful forges. Eons ago, it was ran by some of the most respected Banescales, until the breed suddenly dissappear, to where it was then taken over by the remaining Coatls. Our Lady's Forge, as it is called, has seen a majority of the Fire Flight's recordable histoy, and thus also acted as a great resource for historical knowledge.
Our Lady's Forge was chosen as the new location for the Embassy for a number of reasons. Of course, the Forge's prestigious reputation was a factor, but it's age and history, location near several territory borders, and almost right under the Fire ley line, which makes it a good spot for magical research.
It is headed by Ambassador Ashwyn and newly appointed Forgemaster Story. The two work together to makes sure both the forge and the embassy run along smoothly. While they are most indepentent of each other, co-habitating means unity. Of course, communication between the other ambassadors is highly necessary as well, especially since they all have such different living needs. Nonetheless, the Embassy and Forge have worked well together for several centuries.
At least until recently. With the rise of the ancient breeds, and especially Forgemaster Story's appointment, has caused controversy within the Embassy and amongst ambassadors. Ice Ambassador Winter, Lightning Ambassador Akiridion, Plauge Ambassador Weaver, and Water Ambassador Virulent are wary, and even against, the flights being welcoming of strange, old species (contrarily, they are fairly welcoming to Obelisks). Light Ambassaor Larva, Fire Ambassador/Embassy Head Ashwyn, Earth Ambassaor Bazzite, and Wind Ambassador Marinette are all for the introduction of their gods' previous children. Arcane Ambassador Donovan, Shadow Ambassador Indigo, and Nature Ambassador Dakota are all cautiously neutral. There are constant debates on what to do about them, but Ambassadors Larva, Ashwyn, Bazzite, Marinette, Indigo, and Dakota voted 6-to-5 to intergrate them into the newly founded Ambassador Apprentice Program, in where Abmassadors will choose one ancient dragon from their corresponding flight and train them in the ways of their modern culture. Currently, Ambassadors Winter, Ashwyn, and Indigo are the only ones with apprentices, Glacier the Gaoler, Emberborn the Banescale, and Vineyard the Veilspun. Ambassador Bazzite is looking for an unoffical Obelisk apprentice.
