I rarely buy to exalt, but if you're worried, look in my To be Exalted tab, and tell me if you want the dragon back.

Welcome to the Republic of Lauvrem

Founded by the dragoness Lauvra, this inclusive republic welcomes dragons of all creeds, so long as they submit to the rule of the Enclave. New dragons primarily enter either by invitation from a member of the Enclave, or upon request from an ally. The Republic's heart is on a high plateau near the Mirrorlight Promenade, an easily defended location from which to observe other lairs and watch for Beastclan raids.

The Enclave is made up of 5 dragons, elected by a majority of the clan. A new member is elected either upon the death of a member, or their expulsion; a member can be expelled either by demand of a majority of other council members, or by 3/4ths of the population demanding a replacement. Enclave members tend to be ex-commanders, who have the respect of the whole Republic, but a number of younger dragons have joined as well.

The Republic has taken to subjugation of the Beastclans as opposed to outright extermination; Beastclans who have been beaten are expected to give tribute to the Republic in exchange for peace. On some occasions, the Republic attempts to defeat other tribes of dragons in the same manner. In either instance, rebellion is frequent and difficult to quell.

Of the Republic's craft workers, clothes-making has become common place. That said, gem work is growing to be popular, aided by the large population of crystalline dragons. Recent efforts in the Republic have been made to encourage metalworking, with moderate success.

In the Republic, formal courtship is limited; many pairings form and break up with little ceremony. Despite this, there is one notable ritual of the Republic; banner-giving. Before a female takes a male as a mate, it is customary for her to give him a banner with a unique sigil upon it. If the male accepts, the two will make a nest, and prepare trinkets for their hatchlings with the same sigil on it. In this way, the ritual serves both for courtship, and for hatchlings to be aware of their fathers.
