THE NEW WORLD

When the world first emerged, there was nothing but water, much like our world as we know it. The lands rose as volcanoes erupted, the land growing full with life years later, home to animals that had adapted to the landscapes. Though, not all these creatures respected the world. Humans, the complete dominant species, tore apart the world with their technologies and their weapons; until Freya, the Goddess of the land, wiped out the whole human race with a plague that none could survive in time to get a cure securely made. The world sank, new homes for her animals that respected her nature rose in their place and her Earth was peaceful once again.

However, there was one thing missing. Much like dinosaurs in their time, there must always be a species or creature that couldn't quite dominate each other.

Dragons.

Freya created land, rock, forest and mountains for the dragons that roamed the land in warm temperatures that only grew cold in the winter.
Sea and oceans for the animals that would come to dominate the oceans, living in the deepest, coldest and warmest parts of her seas.
She finally created a land of ice and snow for the dragons that would come to be the most docile to others.

Her world, no longer called Earth, was -- and still is -- called "The New World".
