A wealthy, established clan of the Flintlock Fumaroles and the Ashfall. In the aftermath of a great battle, Amata, daughter of Raln, has re-claimed rule of her great-grandmother's clan and is now merging the new Clan of Amata with the Outer Landers under her rule. Around her are the almost fifty dragons, advisors, relatives and clan members who call the clan founded by Amata's great-grandmother home.

Nearby is the Clan of Rakeshi on Banescale Heights, a established Banescale-only clan allied via Rakeshi's Exalted adoptive mother Sorna, daughter of Chocofraxis, and in between them lays the Outer Lands, the Great Roost, and a previously empty lair where a transformed spacefaring crew hole up and try to survive while too close to a Seeker Outpost, and they all smell like Shade . . .

The clans mostly occupy the caverns in the crags of the Flintlock with the allied Banescale clan dwelling high up the cliff face and all relying on the shoreline below for trade out to the Rebuke.

Currently, the clan is embroiled in a succession struggle between official Crown Princess Deianara and her younger sister Seresa, who both think they and their own daughters should be the successor to the dying Amata.
