A single look up through the canopy is awe-filling. Light poking through the thick foliage, speckling the path. A sideways glance toward the underbrush, though, is chilling.
"Hederasnea."
What.
"That's what we call this place." Green eyes appeared in the darkest shadows, followed by a dark Skydancer donning dark clothing. She stepped with ease and purpose.
It's nice.
She stopped in her tracks, but didn't turn around. "No. You ought to watch your step." She took half a step. "Your back, too," she added, and then disappeared into the underbrush on the other side of the path.
