On the outskirts of the Seedscar, a lush oasis beckons, its greenery and gentle winds a welcome respite after miles in the empty, barren Wasteland. The paths seem inviting, the creatures friendly. As you go deeper in, things begin to change- plants trip you and thorns tear at your skin. Poisonous berries spring at you and burn your skin. But a soft plant breaks your fall and soothes the wounds, and clear streams for washing appear moments later. It goes on like this for some time, pushed away and helped back up. Are you being welcomed or warned?

You come across a hushed clearing. A shrine to the Plaguebringer. A tree bruised with tally marks bears silent witness. Behind it, black slabs of rock and piles of stone mark a path to an underground lair. Passing through a short, bare hall brings you to two sentinels with broadswords drawn. Behind them lies a labyrinth of serpentine tunnels. A toxic-smelling mist seeps up from the floor, pooling around the feet of those who walk down it before swirling up. It obscures and distorts the decorations in the hall, and by the time you near the end, it's hard to tell what's real and what's imagined. Most of the dragons inside are friendly, laughter and warmth filling the cosy rooms. But some brood alone, strange and silent, a reminder that this place is a message. You can't quite figure out what it is.

The lair was originally a cleverly hidden hideout for a lonesome scientist, but he didn’t mind lending his space out as a sanctuary to protect weak dragons hurt by Plague clans or the hostile territory. The place functioned as a nursery of sorts until the arrival of a lone Pearlcatcher warrior brought a new mission to the Parasited clan. Dragons no longer cower in the labyrinth, letting others protect them from what they had fled. Now, they are taught to survive, to test themselves constantly and grow rather than decay and rot where they rest. Core values of the clan include avenging those who were taken advantage of, devout worship of the Plaguebringer, and scientific inquiry- a small group may soon establish an outpost near the Quarantine Zone.
