The Hive
A small blue Fae, with wings the color of lavender flowers, fluttered swiftly and cautiously through the Highland Scrub, one eye ahead and one eye above, watching for the infamous lightning. Her ears had become accustomed to the boom of thunder, but she still shuddered when it sounded. She was accompanied by her mate, a tundra with rust colored fur and wings like the night-time sky. He was leading the children: a guardian, a flamboyant imperial, and a purple skydancer.
They had just left the Zephyr Steppes in search of a permanent home. The wind on that day was blowing east, towards the Shifting Expanse. Like true followers of the Windsinger, they caught the breeze and let it carry them through the air, over the Ashfall Waste.
The fae’s internal clock was telling that the sun was setting, for she couldn’t see through the dark mantle of stormclouds. They needed a place to settle soon. She scanned the ground for openings, anywhere she could keep her family. And then she saw it.
A hole, the size of a large snapper, sat at the base of a crop of boulders. She swerved and spiraled down towards the opening, signaling with her wings for the others to follow. They walked carefully through the hole, descending under the earth into a tunnel.
The tundra called out, a mix of a question and a warning cry. He was met with only his echo. The small guardian huffed out a small flame onto a twig leaning against the wall, and held it up to look around the room.
They were in a cavernous, domed room, with small hexagonal tunnels leading off in all cardinal directions. The fae inspected each tunnel and discovered that they each led into a smaller version of the room they were in. There was plenty of space for a large clan – no, a family.
It was perfect.

ah, hello! its been a while.
Thank you very much! You're setting up quite the gorgeous collection for yourself!
Haha! Just got Sumia now, actually! :)
I got it from the flight flags http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/adopt/1362119
That's the thing - no one knows. No one knows if the next NotN will have old bears + new bears or just the new bears we will get next year, making all familiars we get from the chests now retired. :/ Makes selling bears difficult to time.
But then, this is sorta the first event of its kind and we cannot be 100% sure the Decoy Bears won't be retired (to get new decoy bears next year), so don't take my advice for truth. Maybe watch Turkey familiar prices - similiar event, similiar time.
I think so, yes. :) Especially the decoy bears! If I were you, I'd try to sell them during late summer. Close to the next NotN, prices will probably drop again (for all NotN items) but until September or so you will see prices rising.
Hey.
Oh, hello
Saw your entry for the captions of the roses. I'm not sure if I like them or hate them for being there and making me sad every time I read them. :p Good luck though!
