A lone sickle kamaitachi wanders through the desolate Frigid Floes, where there is nothing as far as it can see. It shivers, cold, hungry, tired and irritable as it remembered an earlier incident.
The kamaitachi swiped its sickles at a Fae hatchling and smirked as it gave a high pitched squeal of fright. It licked its lips, ready to cut down the little fae, no prey, when it was interrupted by a furious guardian that crashed through the undergrowth that they were in. The guardian gave another roar before grabbing the kamaitachi by the scruff of its neck and swung it high and far away from the fae.
The kamaitachi gives another irritated hiss as it fell into a snowbank. In addition to being lost, it never got to eat anything after being flung away. It gave up on travelling through the snowy landscape and decided that it could tackle the task again when it was in a less foul mood, instead it started burrowing into the snow.
Scrape. Scrape. Scrapeeeee.
The Kamaitachi titled it's head confusedly at the sound that emitted from below its sickles. Snow was not meant to sound that way, so what could it be? With curiosity fueling its actions, it quickly dug through the snow and uncovered...
Another guardian.
Its foul mood returned tenfold as it looked at the guardian. Not only was it deprived of food by a guardian, it expanded so much energy on a guardian. Letting out a shriek, it angrily kicked the seemingly frozen guardian.
Only to promptly fall back as the guardian stirred. The kamaitachi watched nervously as the guardian looked at it with narrowed eyes. The guardian seemed to have found what she was looking for as she gave an approving nod at it.
'My name is Icesong. You are Saiki and you are mine now.' The guardian declared, voice washing over the Kamaitachi and giving it chills.
As it looked at the guardian, who was smiling a very sharp smile with the amount of teeth it was showing, and thought to itself in horror.
What have I gotten myself into?
