Formed by Duneia, her mate Akelai, and her friend Tigerears, the Flamedün Clan's home serves the Flamecaller as a breeding ground, raising and preparing young hatchlings for the high honor of exaltation to the Flamecaller's legions.

Not all hatchlings are exalted, however, and no dragon is sent away against their will. Upon coming of age, and reaching the end of their preparation, each young dragon is given the choice of joining the Flamecaller's legions, leaving for another clan or pilgrimage, or remaining with the Flamedün Clan as a caregiver, breeder, protector, or gatherer.

Each grown dragon within the Flamedün Clan serves a specific role that benefits the Clan and their purpose of breeding for the Flamecaller's legions. These roles are Gatherers, whom hunt and scavenge for food and materials to fill the Clan's hoard; Caregivers, whom tend to and care for eggs, hatchlings, and breeders while they rest; Protectors, whom serve to protect the clan's hoard and young; and Breeders, whom are the parents of the young that are raised by the Clan.

Duneia, Matriach of the Flamedün Clan, takes on the roles of caregiver and protector. Her friend, Tigerears, serves the role of gatherer. Alekai, the Matriach's mate, also protects the clan. Other dragons live with the Clan as well, and the Matriach accepts any newcomers wishing to aid the Clan and the Flamecaller's legions with open arms.
