 BIOGRAPHY XXXBraithilippos, better known as simply Braith, is tough and stubborn just like his parents. He constantly rough housed with his sister, Tanrynn, when they were young. They still wrestle today sometimes. The two had fun running off and exploring the Coven's territory together whenever they weren't forced to be cooped up in the Hatchery or Academy while their parents were off doing Guard duties. Though he spent more time with Tanrynn growing up, Braith is closer with his oldest sister, Vivinessa. He fully supports Nessa and is happy that she found herself a place in the Coven where she's most happy. He does worry that she’ll be alone and wishes she would try to find a mate. XXXBraith has learned to be a lot more tactical than his father, especially when it comes to talking with the Head Healer, Maelstrom. He is able to get along with pretty much any other dragon because of his quick wit and charm. Braith is adept at recognizing emotions in other dragons, even the tiny Faes who speak in monotones. He is extremely observant and uses that to his advantage in battle by quickly figuring out the fighting technique of his opponent and then doing his best to out maneuver them. XXXOne day during a patrol, Braith came across another Pearlcatcher on the Coven’s territory. Ahtikrates and Nicco, his patrol partners, thought they should immediately bring the trespasser to Balthadios. Something bothered Braith the entire time as they escorted the female to his father. He could sense something had happened to her. She looked worse for wear and there was such a deadened look in her light green eyes. When they found Balthadios, Braith convinced his father to let him take care of the trespasser. Balthadios realized his son wouldn’t take no for an answer, so he let Braith take the Pearlcatcher, who revealed her name as Esquevelle, to the Tavern. The Tavern Keeper, Asopus, told Esquevelle she could stay at the Tavern for however long she needed. XXXLater, Braith's suspicions that something had happened to Esquevelle were revealed to be true. He went to check on her often while she stayed at the Tavern, and one day she told him about how her parents had tried to arrange her marriage and she'd run away. She described her harrowing ordeal - months of traveling, scrounging for food, and fighting vicious loners. As Braith and Vel spent more and more time together, the dead look in Vel’s eyes disappeared. Eventually the two decided to be mates, and Esquevelle moved out of the Tavern and into Braith's home. XXXBeau is Braith’s Slight Eyewing Familiar. The creature was a present from his parents when he started his journey to becoming a Guard of the Coven. Beau’s keen sight means he is useful during patrols, as he can spot something and remain unseen before going and alerting Braith to it. Braith and Beau use a signaling system similar to the one his sister, Tanrynn, made with her friend, Neotheo. |
